Scotch Naturals Ingredients

WaterColors Polish

Water, acrylic polymer emulsion, +/- CI15850, CI77492, CI77499, CI77289, CI77891, and/or mica. We use iron oxides, ultramarines and Red #34 for our colorants.

Soy Polish Remover

Methyl soyate, dimethyl adipate, dimethyl glutarate.

Base Coat

Water, acrylates copolymer, esther alcohol.

Top Coat

Water, acrylic copolymer, polyethylene wax.

Conventional Polish Ingredients

There are many formulations for conventional polishes but most use these ingredients: ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, nitrocellulose, propyl acetate, tosylamide/formaldehyde resin, isopropyl alcohol, trymethy/pentaryl diisobutyrate, tripheny/phosphate, ethyl tosylamide, stearalkonium bentonite, camphor, diacetone alcohol, stearalkonium hectorite, benzophenone-1, citric-acid, dimethicone, calcium sodium phosphosilicate, mica and various fd&c colorants.

Total toxicity is based on use of toxic colorants and ingredients such as phthalates, parabens, solvents

(such as ethyl acetate and butyl acetate), nitrocellulose, alcohols, acetone, and heavy metals.

Because we are a completely non-toxic product, we do not use any chemical emulsifiers so with certain colors you may notice some separation. This is normal and not a quality issue. Turn the bottle upside down and gently roll it between your hands. Even after mixing, the color may still appear to be marbled. However, rest assured the polish will apply evenly.

Q: How do I get the best finish with Scotch Naturals™ WaterColors nail polish?

A: In order to achieve beautiful, healthy, salon-quality nails it is essential to prep them properly:

Remove any existing nail polish and shape as usual.
Add a drop of jojoba oil to each nail and buff gently.
Wash hands with soap and water to rinse remover residue and buffing dust.
Apply 1 coat of our fortifying base coat.
Follow with 2 coats of polish allowing 1-3 minutes in between coats.
Finish with our deluxe/top coat for a high gloss shine.

Please remember, this is a water-based nail product. While it dries to the touch in minutes, it needs a few hours to cure fully prior to prolonged exposure to water. We encourage painting tips and toes before bed, allowing polish to dry and adhere overnight.

Conventional “3-Free and 5-Free” polishes
